here i've put wishes about happiness, success, and anything else that has to do with life. Not giving or taking a life, but about your personal life. These ones, I really like.
Chris McKinney, Age& Location doesn't matter
I would wish for everyone to have total happiness from life to death. To never feel immense amounts of pain or hurt, but to be able to experience every moment of life and embrace it. I would wish for us all to just love life. I would wish for no country to go to war, no man to abuse his wife, no young girl to break a young boy's heart. I would wish for people to be late to school or work and still smile because there are a hundred other things that are going great. It's sad that the same event can happen to two different people, but one person is skeptical of it or hates it, but the other person appreciates it. I want everyone to be like the second person. I have had a lot of "bad" stuff happen to me, but I am realizing that there is only one life to live, and I want to live it happy. There is just so much out there. It sounds naiive and almost ditzy in a way, but why can't everyone be happy? If anyone knows me or my story, they know that I could find a million reasons not to be happy. But I am, and I love life, and so should anyone that reads this.
AP
I wish everyone had the chance to do what they really love. There are too many people in the world, in every country, in any given city, and in every family that are miserable because they are living a life that isn’t meant for them. No child lies in bed at night dreaming of working a cash register in 20 years. No college student pulls all-nighters in the library hoping that their hard work will land them a job as a pencil pushing slave. So tell me, why do those same lofty dreamers someday find themselves in a midlife nightmare? Was it the money? The fear of shooting too high and missing the mark with nothing to fall back upon? The question is rhetorical; the answer is irrelevant; the results are the same. Is it worth it? Why take a job for the sake of having a job if it’s something you hate doing? Why marry for the sake of security if you’re not in love? Life is too short for wasted time. The world has been around for billions of years, humans have been here for thousands. 100 years ago you weren’t here, 100 years from now you won’t be here again. So I ask again, is it worth it? Your achievements aren’t going to matter to you after your dead, and chances are they’ll be forgotten entirely. And even if you’re still relevant post-mortem, it won’t matter to you. Live for the moment, live for yourself… live for your life. Hate your job? Fuck your job. Fuck whatever made you get that job. When you’re sitting in your cubicle I know you’re mind is somewhere else, someplace that makes you happy. We all know something that will make us happy; something that we would love to do. It might be something in reach or it might be far, far away, but whatever it is—it’s worth it. So I guess this wish comes with a few wishes within it. I wish people could see that life is too short to worry about the nothings…I wish there were no more miserable people…I wish everyone agreed with this…I wish people would quit wasting time and just do what they love.

Wishes about school.
I think everyone wishes they could have done something different in school. I sure wish I actually went and participated in activities. So being the case with many people. These people happen to want that more than others.
Dylan hansen, 19, un-employed, burien, wa.
If I had one wish, I would wish to go back to when I started going to school and actually attend and pay attention. Missing 98 days out of the school year and playing video games didn't get me anywhere, so sadly enough, I would def want to go back and redo (quickly) my schooling because being the new kid every semester at the same school is probably the most retarded experience imaginable. Having all your friends graduating without you always sucks, so yeah. I took school for granted and now I regret it and wish I hadn't of skipped so much.

Wishes from kids 12 & under.
I've decided kids should get their own category, you know, they don't quite know what they're going to want in the long run. And they probably haven't done enough to actually regret something to wish for a second chance on. So far I've gotten my brothers wish. But I'm going to send a note to his class, and hopefully I'll get more!

Wishes that we all want.
Sometimes people will just wish for extremeties. Something everyone really wishes. I was hoping for wishes a little more personal. but these as well, are some wishes I wouldn't mind coming true. So in a way, these are a little goofy, but I like something about them all. meaning they aren't complete jokes.

If I had one wish it would have to do with Global warming. I'd wish that humans didn't have such a big impact on the earth. Then humans wouldn't burn so many fossil fuels, cut down the forrests, or pollute everything. I would wish for this because if people fuck up the planet too much then we can't live on it, and we'll all die. thanks the end.

If I stumbled upon a magic genie who would grant me on wish, I would wish for endless life. Like in Tuck Everlasting where I could drink pretty water and be alive forever. However, I would want the curcumstance that if I wanted to die, I could. I don't wanna be alive when everyone's being swallowed by global warming. But I do want to be alive when everyone has flying cars. I think that if I was alive for however long I desired, I could fullfill all my dreams and complete what bhudda sent me here to do. I think if I was alive for a long long long time then I could help acheive worldly goals like peace and no more hunger problems. Therefore, if I was alive forever, this world could become an even better place. I would go to laos , dig secret tunnels in every city in the world, and become a psychic. It would soon be a world of adeventures. I would go down in gistory as the only witness to so many important events and changes. I could participate in eliminating a bunch of the bad stuff. I cdould even win over my lovers heart. I would become the happiest person, and so would the world.
brittney, 16, grade 10.
If I only had one wish and it could be anything I wanted like most people I would wish for ever lasting money. I would only wish for money just because you have to basically you have to pay your way through whatever your doing. If I where to get a lot of money this is what I would do:
1. get my mom a house. 2. get my whole family new cars. 3. give lots of money to my church. 4. buy melanie a new dance studio. 5. buy a big mansion and have all the homeless, drug addicts, and orphans live there. 6. rent out a lane and take my family to where ever. 7. get my dance dill payed. 8. take all my family memebers that are in school and get them new school clothes. 9. rebuild the youth group room bigger and a lot more fun. 10. buy nolana and shane a house to keep.
and that is why I would wish for everlasting money.
[now, the reason i've put this one here, is because we all would want everlasting money, and this girl, she was very unselfish with her wish. she wants to help out her family, and not nessecarily herself, making this a good wish.]
Adam clark, 17, grade 11, washington.
If I had one wish, it would be to have super powers. I wish to have super powers so I could be like superman going around the world saving people who are in danger. i picked this wish because it seems like a good thing to have in life. my super powers would be fly, super human strength, super speed, x-ray vision, time stop, invulnerability, freezing breath, and body stealing. All of my powers have a good use, like fly, so I could get from a to b faster. Body stealing would be good for being discrete in hostile environments. Freezing breath would be good for getting people out of danger in the middle of a large body of water. Invulnerability is for not being hurt but can still age and die. Time stop is for getting out of hostile environments without being seen. X-ray vision is for being able to see through holes in the walls and the like.
becky, grade 11, washington.
If I could have one wish it would be to "save" the world. people these days seem to not care about the earth. People use to much stuff as in packaging items that destroy animal habitat all over the world. Also people are building about a 100 houses an acre. Which is so unrealistic and unhealthy. This also destroys areas where animals live. It's sad to see people just keep doing their same old ways & still kiling the earth. One day at a time. But the time our children have drand-children they will be living on a planet that has no green or animals in the world. At this rate we have already killed planet earth. My one wish is to save the planet earth from it's inhabitants living on it.
Robert steele, 16, grade 10, normandy park, wa.
If I had one wish, I would wish for world peace. All the wars and fighting are pointless. Wars cost countries extreme amounts of money, pushing people into poverty. War and fighting causes many deaths that were not meant to happen. Fighting causes stress and trauma that is not needed. So, with world peace, we would be eliminating some poverty, stress, and saving the lives of many loved ones.
aaron borland, 16, grade 11, des moines, wa.
Ok. If I had one wish it would be that I could live forever. If I could live forever and never age I would want it to be when I'm 24 because people are their healthiest at the ages of 22-26. where they are the most fit if you take care of your body. I could travel all over the world for as long as I want and I could learn everything there is to learn about people and the world. I could see what the world would be like in the future. I really want to go into space sometime and I could travel for as long as I want to get anywhere in the universe. I could live anywhere as long as I want, so ya, that's my wish.
monell snyder, 13, grade 7, seattle, wa.
If I had one wish it would be for no more war I wish that we could get along and stop killing hundreds of people each day because family and innocent people are losing the ones they love. If my wish came true I think there would be more peace and less use of guns, also then we would not have fear of being shot at or losing were we live and that is what I would wish if I had one wish.

Wishes that really get to your heart.
Some wishes I recieved, really touched my heart. I know that's kind of cheesy, but there's something about the way these people write, that you know they really want these wishes. I've put a girl named amy's first. Maybe at first, you won't think this is so meaningful, but she use to be a really close friend of mine, and this wish almost made me cry. the rest really get to you. these are wishes I hope to get more of.
Amy Jensen, 17, grade 11, normandy park, wa.
If I could have one wish, it would be to be able to see [travis] one last time. I feel selfish saying that. Like my one wish should be for the greater good of people. Such as no more war, or world peace. but its not. because the truth is, nothing could ever make me happier then being able to look into his deep blue eyes just one last time. he was perfect for me, and I feel lost in the world without him. It's been 11 months, 19 days and about 9 hours 17 minutes, since I lost him, and yet I could still never imagine moving on.
I would ask him so many questions, did you miss me? Do you still love me? Whats it like up there? Why can't I have you back? Do you regret anything?
I have so many questions, and zero answers.
THAT would be my one huge powerful wish.
I just wish it would come true.
much love,
always and forever,

If I could have any wish it would be able to see my friend who moved to florida for a day. Nichole moved away from here a year and a half ago. But when she moved we lost contact. Even though i could call her I can't because her house burnt down and it would mean alot to me if I could see her again even if its for a day. but if i could not get that wish, then I would wish for more time so that I could talk to her on the phone or write to her through the mail.

wishes are used to make an idea of a better life. when you make a wish you are so desperate for it to come true that when it does not, the situation becomes worse. My experience with wishes has not been succesful. The feeling of wanting something so bad and not recieving it is horrible. when I make a wish I try to make it realistic so there might be a possibility that it may come true. My one true wish is not very realistic and it hurts to know that it will probably never come true. I wish that I could go back in time and live every moment to the fullest. When I look back at my life I knew I could have made better choices and I feel like I did not take advantage of everything I had. Sometimes I wonder if my current life would be better if I changed my past. Although, then I think to myself, I would not be the person I am today if it was not for my past. so I look at this wish and I know it will not come true, although it shows me that I need to make right choices now and live life to the fullst now to make a brighter future.

If I had one wish, I would wish for Christopher Mckinney to come home. Although we weren't the best of friends, we were getting there, and I find it very sad that he has been gone for all these months. I have heard a ton of rumors about where he is but I don't really know for sure. but I wish I did. Chris was always very nice to me and I like him a lot more than most of the people I know. This is why if I could wish for anything in the universe I would wish for chris to be home and safe and happy. I miss him very much and I know that I will not be satisfied until he is home and we are talking face to face.

my one wish is to not be diabetic. Diabetes is a really complex disease. Diabetes takes off at least 10-15 years of a diabetics life. People usually die around 80 without diabetes! Take 10-15 years off of that and you will have 70-65 years to have. So I can live a good life with my family, my wife, and my children. To think about it yourself, what would you want to experience for 10-15 years. You can travel the wrold and meet new people and see new places or you can do a hobby. Like playing golf or playing soccer.
sarena, 16, grade 10, des moines, wa.
If I had one wish, it would be to move on from the past. I've become very attatched to things and sometimes I can't let go all the way. Sometimes the past keeps me from moving on to bigger and better things. So I would want to be able to let go and move on with my life.

Wishes that aren't so much wishes.
I recieved some wishes , where people didn't take me seriously.
Really that's too bad,
but it's a good example of what I don't want.
and even though these are considered wishes,
they aren't meaningful and from the heart.
When ever this can get published, these will not be published,
they're up here as an example.
junior jack, 15, grade 10, des moines, wa.
If I had one wish I would probably wish for infinity wishes so I can have as much wishes as I want. But my first actualy wish would be to have super powers like superman. I could fly and have super strength and heat vision. Plus superman probably has a monster penis so I would get that to. 'd go around savin hott bitches so that after we would fuck or go go-carting. I would also wish for Eva Longoria because she is one of the hottest bitches I have ever seen. We would fuck and stuff then I would wish she wasn't pregnant.

And then the last woman on earth was a super hottie and had no choice but to repopulate the earth with me and she can't complain about. oh yeah and I was super bugg and she like to feel on my muscles all day. also she can't complain or be annoying.

If I had one wish it would to be that people could eat all they wanted and not get fat. That way their wouldn't be any Obese People. With all the fat people skinny now there would be more hott people. making there more girls for me to flirt with.

If I had only one wish I would wish that I could read peoples mind. If I could hear peoples thoughts then I could know better how to make people happy or to make them more mad. Also no one could lie to me because I would just read their mind adn know the truth. Also then I could do my own mindreading magic show, and become rich because of it. Also I would be really popular becaus I would know what people wanted and what to say to them.
drew gibbs, 17, grade 11, washington.
If I had only one wish I would wish to find anything! now my reason for doing this is I could make anything possible. Like I could find world peace or the holy grail and have eternal life, find a way to control peoples minds, etc. This wish would make me the most powerful people in the entire universe. THE END.
Matt zimmerman, 17, grade 11, normandy park, wa.
well if I had one wish it would be that everyone in the world would be white so there would be no more racism that would tear people apart it would also create unity amongst different nations. so that people cannot segergate against other races, plus the youth of america would be civil and the drug and gang violence will be no more because there will be no more black or mexicans/latinos and possibly some asians as well because they are the ones that destroy the minds of our youth and cause deterioration of society and women will be called ladies instead of bitches, hos, shorties, whores, stats, dikes, and other names I cannot think of. Life will be better.
[now, though this is actually a good wish, it's racist. putting it here.]
though these did make me laugh...
Really that's too bad,
but it's a good example of what I don't want.
and even though these are considered wishes,
they aren't meaningful and from the heart.
When ever this can get published, these will not be published,
they're up here as an example.

We would fuck and stuff then I would wish she wasn't pregnant.

alex rehburg, 16, grade 11, normandy park, wa.
THE END.

My personal wish.
nichole snyder, age 19, hostess, des moines, wa.
When I first started this book, my wish was to find true love. Something I'd never really been around, and something I really wanted to know. They say 'be careful what you wish for' and boy, is that true. Because about two years after writing that wish, I got my wish. Love is the happiest, most secure feeling in the world, I felt really complete. But losing it is something devestating, and hurtful.
My wish said this:
I've thought all day about this, Even when I was high last night! But god, it's so hard.
Finally, I chose 'true love'. I'd never be alone, which is one of my greatest fears. And i'll always have somebody to talk to. Even if I was poor and on the streets, I'd still have that one person. Along with true love in my eyes, comes happiness, and comfort. If someone loves you, they love you for who you are. Then, both your confidences must be as high as they can get. You wouldn't care what other people though, it wouldn't matter.
Even if your countries being bombed, and you live in a 3rd world country with 16 kids, you'll have something, most only dream of. LOVE.
That's all I want. To be happy, and in love. like our grandparents, and their grandparents use to be. Not the empty artificial love we see these days.
So, that was my wish. Love. I got love too. and I miss it more and more everyday. Love is something that makes you grow as a person, and for that I'm thankful. I'm that much stronger. And now, I don't have a wish. I got what I wanted.

The wish book.
A few years ago, I asked my friends, teachers, family, and co-workers, to write me a page long letter.at the top it said
"If you had ONE wish, what would it be and why?"
I gave them some simple rules,
1. one page in length, typed half a page.
2. no sex or drugs.
3. no more wishing for more wishes.
4. put some though into it.
5. put your name age city and occupation.
[if you'd like to remain anonymous, that's fine, it is your wish afterall.]
6. enjoy yourself.
I got a lot of really good wishes, some not so good.
most people listened to my rules, others didn't take it so seriously.
I've started this blog to show people what I've gotten, and hope that you too will decide to write me a wish.eventually I'd like to publish this book.and even if you don't feel like contributing, I hope that you'll enjoy these wishes.
To send me your wishes, please e mail
thewishbook@gmail.com
I'd also like to ad, that when the book is published I have personal written wishes that will be put into there, it makes it a little more personal, and entertaining.
you could always write a note and scan it, or if you'd like to mail it, say so in an e mail.
